Abstract

Modern achievements in the field of creation of plant expression systems for the production of recombinant proteins for medical purposes are considered. The emphasis is on the advantages of plants as alternative expression platforms. As a promising expression system, suspension cell cultures of plants are considered, for which application of the genomic editing approach can substantially increase the yield of synthesized recombinant proteins.
