Abstract
In the poplar balsamic in the man-made environment, an increase in the activity of polyphenol oxidase in leaves, especially in the primary plantations, is noted, which is a consequence of intensive technogenic load. Under conditions of technogenic stress, the content of tannins in leaves is increased, most significantly by the end of the active plant vegetation period (August).
