Abstract
In model experiments, we analyzes potential use of Chenopodium album L., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Taraxacum officinale Wigg., Arctium tomentosum Mill., Medicago sativa L. for industrial wastewater treatment from heavy metals (HMs). Plants were grown for 1–2 weeks on solutions with mono- and polycontamination by HMs at concentrations from 1 µM to 1 mM, or on samples of industrial wastewaters. Alfalfa and burdock purified industrial water from HMs most effectively.
