Abstract
The ability of brassinosteroids, such as brassinolide, 24-epibrassinolide and 28-homobrassinolide to increase the resistance of potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L.) to salt stress was investigated along with the possible mechanisms of their protective action. For the first time, the specificity of the protective effect of brassinosteroids from their chemical structure, the concentration of them and the duration of the exposure was established.
