Abstract
Current data are reported from research on the production by Paenibacillus polymyxa rhizobacteria of a range of physiologically active metabolites, including hydrolytic enzymes. A comparative evaluation of P. polymyxa strains showed that several strains were able to produce cellulases, chitinases, pectinases, amylases, proteases, and lipases. The tested P. polymyxa strains and their metabolites may be of interest for use as biopreparations for agriculture.
