Abstract
Research into morphological traits of photosynthetic apparatus of different varieties and clones of poplar has been conducted. The object of the research was 6 prospective poplar genotypes in the second year of life grown. Morphometric traits of apical shoot, as well as ontogenetic dynamics of the individual leaf area and leaf area of apical shoot in selection-valuable poplar forms have been revealed. Forms of poplars that differ in the morpho-anatomical leaf traits as potentially drought-resistant and moisture-loving have been defined.
