Abstract
The effect of two strains of Stagonospora nodorum Berk with various virulence and expression of the its effector SnTox3 on the redox status and ethylene biosynthesis in two wheat species Triticum aestivum L. (susceptible) T. timopheevii Zhuk. (resistant) was studied. The negative effect of SnTox3 on the generation of hydrogen peroxide during the biotrophic stage of pathogen development was detected. This effect of SnTox3 was due to the regulation of oxidoreductase genes expression and manipulation of ethylene metabolism.
