Abstract
Vacuolar H +-ATPase and H +-PPase – two proton pumps generating an electrochemical gradient necessary for secondary active transport. The study of the regulation of the work of these transport proteins is still actively continuing. In our work, we investigated the effect of gas transmitters (NO, CO and H2S) on the activity of proton pumps of the vacuolar membrane under oxidative stress conditions. It was shown that gas transmitters take part in reducing the effect of oxidative stress by changing the activity of vacuolar H + -ATPase.
