Abstract
Transgenic plants with increased activity of iron-dependent superoxide dismutase1 were studied where the enzyme was targeted into plastid. A number of FeSOD1 transgenic lines showed changes in the shape and size of the leaf blade. Differences in the habitus and the features of formation of the generative sphere in comparison with the original variety are noted. In the experiments carried out, it was confirmed that the resistance to damage caused by sulfate and sodium chloride at the ultrastructural level depends on the activity of the enzyme and the tissue type.
